MJ Troubles

My car wants to retire. So badly that she just snapped her clutch after I replaced it only a year and a half ago. But of course, MJ waited until the warranty was up on it. Ugh.

It did make for a very entertaining day, however...

Kelsea and Amanda stayed the night at my house Wednesday night, and Thursday morning we went to Twain Harte School to talk to all of the classes about the Hideout and to get them interested in our Workshop in March. We finished up and headed to Sonora to meet Kandas for lunch before I returned the girls to their own schools.

We didn't even make it out of Twain Harte before my clutch hit the floor. We rolled into a parking lot and decided to walk back to El Jardin for lunch. Kandas met us there and we ate (yum!! Mexican rocks) while I talked with my mechanic and the towing company.

So we waited for the tow truck. For TWO hours!! We went a little stir crazy in my car but it was hilarious. ANd it would have been much easier on us all of we could have used a restroom to relieve our poor bladders, but we were afraid to go far because the towing company had said they would be there SHORTLY. Yeah, right.

By the time that was all over, school was pretty much over for the day, so Kandas drove them home and went to work and I took her car with me to Staples. What a day...

National Treasure

So I didn't set out to see the movie that many times. Luckily, it's a movie that I could easily watch multiple times - especially now that I practically have it memorized and I know when to leave the theatre for the chase scene so that I don't end up motion sick. I saw it first with Zac, then two days later Kandas wanted to go. Two days after that, the Parental units took Kandas and I with them to see it. The following day, Eddie begged me to go with him (I said I'd drive if he paid), and last, but not least, Natalie, Amanda, Kandas and I were having a girls day in Modesto and ended up at the theatre. So for any who are interested, "National Treasure, Book of Secrets" WAS a really good movie. I liked it better than the first one, even!!!
